Tickets
Please check the Tickets page for dates and to purchase tickets to upcoming events. You can also pay (card only) for entry on the day of the event.
Arriving
Doors will open at 12pm but its a perfectly good idea to arrive a few minutes early. There is a seating area at the venue front door that you can use whilst we complete the set up and ensure the venue is fully ready for everyone.
Once the event opens, we will start checking everyone in. If it’s your first time here with us we will direct you to join a welcome tour. We will continue to run these for as long there are first timers arriving so no need to worry about missing these. The tour will explain how the event works and introduce you to all the areas & rooms at the venue so you can know where everything is and what to expect. The tour will finish at the changing rooms (and lockers) so you able to get ready to go and enjoy the event.
We do ask that everyone arrive before 1pm, if possible, to ensure you don’t miss the welcome meeting and ensure you get maximum time to enjoy the event.
Changing Rooms
Events have multiple dedicated diaper changing rooms. Each room is separated from other rooms, features a locking door and a dedicated bin for disposal of dips and wipes. You are welcome to use these as required. Please remember the event is non-sexual and be mindful of others by wiping down surfaces using the wipes provided.
Big Meet (Welcome meeting)
At 1pm we ask that everyone joins us for Big Meet where you will be introduced to the team supporting the event, including First Aiders, the schedule and activities that will be running, and any other important information for the event.
Due to the nature of this meeting, we do ask that everyone joins us. It is the only mandatory activity that will occur at LLI and our staff will come find everyone to join so don’t worry if you don’t know the exact time whilst at the event.
Activities
Each event is a bit different so the exact activities that will be running will change from event to event but always include the crafting area, an artwork competition with prizes (theme will be announced at Big Meet), cinema area, soft play, a giant ball pit, reading area, sensory areas, swap shop, song time and group games.
You are welcome to join any activities as you wish – there is no obligation on you to join any activities so you can make the day fit what works for you.
More information will be given about the specific activities will be given at the welcome meeting though you can ask any staff for more information. When any special activity is due to start, staff will tour LLI and announce it to make sure everyone has the opportunity to join.
Shops
At our events you will get a unique opportunity to meet and browse shops from:
The Dotty Diaper Company and Innocent Dreams have card machines for payments and Pacis by Shroom accepts payments via PayPal or cash.
All three shops also operate a collection service allowing you to order ahead of time with collection at the event, allowing you to ensure that you get exactly what you are after without queues or risk of selling out. For more information, check the links to the shops above.
Staff
LLI staff can be easily recognised via the lanyards they will be wearing. You will meet some as you arrive but all will be introduced to you at the welcome meeting. Each lanyard will feature Dotty the pony and has the staff name, their pronouns, and their role. If you have any questions or issues just ask any of them and they will be happy to help. If unsure where to find the nearest staff member at any moment there are always staff located at the entrance, bar, and shop. Team members are also equipped with radios and include first aiders to deal with any eventuality.
Food and Drink
Our venues have a bar serving soft drinks such as diluting juices and cans, and has a couple of snack options available like chocolate bars. The bars are ran by the venue and are cash only. Water is always available and will always be provided free of charge.
Cake will be provided at cake time (and usually seconds, or thirds – hobbits rejoice). We will have a variety of cakes to try and cater to most dietary conditions. There is no additional cost for cake.
We generally advise eating before the event but you are permitted to bring food such as a sandwich with you. Please be courteous to others and avoid anything overly messy, greasy, or containing things like peanuts that may trigger other peoples allergies.
End of the Day
The event will run until 7pm when, sadly, we will have to start packing up the event. We will be sure to give you plenty of notice incase there are any activities you wish to participate in before the end of the day. Should you need to leave earlier, you are of course welcome to do so.
If you have volunteered to assist with clean up, you should get changed and then head to the assigned area. Each area will have a specific staff member assigned and they will assign the tasks to everyone helping. A staff member will also be at the trailers with responsibility to pack the trailers and ensure they are packed safely for transport.
There is zero obligation to assist with pack up at the event.
